Contrex Ad

Jean-Yves Naouri, COO, Publicis Groupe presented the Contrex ad at Goa Fest 2012. This is a great example of how 'Social' is all pervading in our lives today. The ad in question is presented below.


Forget for a moment that Social Media exists, or that even the Internet exists. This initiative works only when there is a 'group' of people acting together. The idea at its core was social. It was digital too in a sense that technology was used. And now if you bring back the Internet and social media into the picture, all it needs is for someone to upload the video to the WWW. 

Consumers are social by nature. We love meeting new people, sharing experiences, and doing exciting things. These things need not be done only in one media. A great, winning idea is one which is creates a direct connect between the brand and the consumer in an engaging, memorable and easy to understand manner.

Hoping to see more marketeers understand this. That they understand that they are consumers. That they create advertising that will convince them.
